ASAJA Sevilla has organized a Debate Conference on the "Introduction of the new CAP strategic plans in 2023 and opportunities to improve the sustainability of the Andalusian agricultural sector respecting the new plan", within the LIFE Agromitiga Project, a project that, as we have been spreading since the beginning, aims at developing climate change mitigation strategies through agriculture which makes good use of carbon.
This project, which has been developing for three years so far, is coordinated by the Spanish Association for Conservation Agriculture - Living Soils (AEAC.SV) in collaboration with ASAJA-Sevilla, the University of Córdoba, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock , Fisheries and Sustainable Development of the Junta de Andalucía, IFAPA and the European Conservation Agriculture Federation (ECAF).
During the Conference, which will be held next Tuesday, May 4, the main aspects raised by the new CAP Strategic Plan 2023 will be addressed. Therefore, we count on the collaboration of the Coordinator of Agriculture and Livestock of the General Secretariat for Agriculture, Livestock and Food of the Junta de Andalucía, Armando Martínez.
Moreover, and knowing that the environmental conditions and commitments of the new CAP Strategic Plan and their repercussions for farmers and ranchers are currently being debated, we have examined these specific issues within the framework of the new CAP, organizing for this purpose a roundtable group discussion that will be attended by the Coordinator of Agriculture and Livestock of the General Secretariat for Agriculture, Livestock and Food of the Junta de Andalucía, Armando Martínez; the coordinator of the technical services of Asaja Seville, Antonio Caro; the professor of the School of Agricultural and Forestry Engineering of the University of Córdoba, Emilio González and the coordinator of the LIFE Agromitiga Project of the Spanish Association for Conservation Agriculture - Living Soils (AEAC.SV), Óscar Veroz. The Conference can be followed via live streaming on our YouTube Channel next Tuesday, May 4, 2021, starting at 11:30 a.m.
