Description

Farm located in the village of Alcalá de Guadaira, Seville, around 2 km from the village. It´s included in Climate Unit 2 (Mediterranean with sub-humid maritime influence). The farm has an area of 785 ha with rainfed extensive crops. The typicalcrop rotation in the area is cereal-leguminous-oilseed.

Conservation Agriculture has been implanted for the last 20 years in extensive rainfed crops. The farm operations are carried out through GPS guidance systems. This helps to carry out fertilization plans and specific treatments, thus reducing application rates. No-till in cereal crops improves the sustainability of the environment and the profitability of the farm.

The crop established in the first monitoring season is chickpea under no-till.
